Our Mission

Resist Hate KC connects Kansas City residents with local organizations to influence the legislative process, defend and advance human rights, and hold our elected officials accountable. Together, we can help Kansas City resist hate.

Formed in the aftermath of the 2016 election, Resist Hate KC is an opportunity to come together with friends, family, and neighbors to organize and fight for our future. We support each other, keep each other informed, and work together as a community to #ResistHate in Kansas City.

Our Partners

Our partners are an important part of RHKC's mission. We work as an activism hub connecting individuals with like-minded organizations across Kansas City, and as a resource for people who want to help but aren't sure where to start. We promote partner events and nurture relationships between organizations and volunteers.

Our partners contribute to vital aspects of our community life, including:

  • Disability Rights
  • Environmental Justice
  • Gender Equality
  • Immigrants' Rights
  • LGBTQIA+ Rights
  • Racial Justice
  • Refugee Rights
  • Reproductive Rights
  • Socioeconomic Justice
  • and more.

If you know of an organization that needs assistance, or if you are looking for a local group that is actively working on an issue you are passionate about, please let us know!

Our Members

As a grassroots organization, our members are critical to our success. There is no financial cost associated with joining RHKC. Instead, we ask our members to donate their time and energy to community activism and volunteering.

Resist Hate KC members come from all walks of life. We extend acceptance, understanding, and compassion to each other. We strive to learn from and grow with our partner organizations.

Please contact us to learn more or to inquire about membership.
